NYC Walks will be doing three walks based upon Jack Finney’s Time and Again novel for the first time in a decade! Don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to walk into the past! Travel back to the New York of over a century ago to experience what it really was like in the 1880s as we share the adventures of Simon Morley, a commercial artist, bored with his own time, as he travels back into the New York City of 1882.
Romance Beckons: Trip # 2: Simon Morley at Home. Simon Morley falls in love with his landlady’s niece. In love, they explore Gramercy Square, Union Square, Madison Square, and Ladies Mile. Imagine climbing onto the Statue of Liberty or buying the latest fashion of 1882.
Schedule: Sunday, 28 May at 2 PM for a two hour adventure into the past.
Meeting Place: In front of the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South.
How to get there: take the # 6 Subway to 23rd Street or the Fifth Avenue bus down to 23rd street or the cross-town 23rd Street bus to Park Avenue South.
