Where is a good place to eat after the New Year begins?

On the Brooklyn side, a couple of places on nearby Dumbo might be open, especially on Main Street.  More of a trek but open and not as crowded might be the Custom House on 139 Montague Street.

On the Manhattan side, you can try your luck at South Street Seaport and Tribeca such as Murray Street and Chambers Street (near City Hall Park). You can try Harry’s on 1 Hanover Square New York, NY 10004 features beef Wellington and other good stuff will be open until 4 am! Trinity Place and Bar on 115 Broadway, New York, NY 10006 (near MacDonald’s where we started) is open to 2 am and features modern American cuisine.  Of course, there is McDonald’s at 160 Broadway featuring American fast food of course. If you are really willing to venture forth, you can try Ukrainian cuisine at Veselka’s at 144 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003 in the East Village open 24 hours a day.
